Sunday Stills - Happiness is....

I know, I'm posting this on a Monday - I'm really bad at keeping up with everything at the moment - but didn't want to miss out on this one.
This week was an easy task and although I haven't had a chance to see what everyone else has posted for Sunday Stills, I am betting there will be lots of photos of family and loved ones. Me too! I love my boys more than anything and just knowing that they are safe and well is.... happiness. I've also included a few other things that make me happy.


No, not the Angel of the North, but my two sons - they are very shy and prefer not to be plastered on my blog, but they are there if you look close enough!

Sunshine - puts everyone in a good mood



One of my favourite things is snow, I only wish we got more than a light dusting in the winter. At least I have my holiday memories!



And lastly, my love of food and photography makes me happy!

Sunday Stills - Signs of Autumn

Took a walk around the garden for signs of Autumn. There's a nip in the air, the leaves are changing colour and the apples are falling - we're definitely headed into Autumn in my part of the world.

Pompeii is an enormous place, the size of a large town - I'd have to find the guide book to give accurate details of each photo.

Sunday Stills - Hay Bales

You know that when you see the hay bales in the fields, summer is almost over....

Sunday Stills - A Beautiful Road

I have cheated this week as I have been rather busy and have not had much time to swan about with my camera. I took this photo while on holiday a couple of years back, in the haunting excavated town of Pompeii, Italy.
The eruption of Vesuvius started early on the morning of 24 August, AD 79, taking the local population by surprise. A massive cloud of gas and volcanic rock rose high in the air, darkening the sky, showering ash and rock fragments covering Pompeii.
Excavations started back in 1748 revealing prestigious buildings, artifacts and roads.
This is my entry for Sunday Stills, the theme this week is The Open Road.
